Love it or hate it, the Marketplace, aka Obamacare is the only place to get individual health insurance that covers preexisting conditions. Many myths exist about the Marketplace, but no matter how little or much money you make, how sick you may be, anyone can get a plan during certain times of the year. Please see my quoting tools if you would like a no-obligation quote or you may fill out this form and I will send you a quote.
Short-term health insurance plans are private individual plans designed to fill a gap in your insurance needs, lasting from 1 month up to 3 years depending on the state where you reside. They are individual health plans you can get anytime, but you must answer qualifying health questions. They provide a PPO option that is not Affordable Care Act compliant, so be cognisant of the timing when a plan ends. This could leave you uninsurable for a period of time.
Likely reasons for Short Term:
These PPO plans are a unique new option designed for healthy individuals and families. It is a self-funded large group health plan offered to individuals and families who can answer this questionnaire (all members on the policy) with a No. The final component requires the primary applicant to continue providing health risk assessments throughout the year. It's a part-time employment role (under 2 hours annually) that provides access to the self-funded ERISA large group health benefits. It's the same concept Starbucks uses to offer its part-time employees benefits.

I am careful about the companies I choose to represent. I seek stability and strongly rated companies over fly by night companies that come and go in the market.
