Since the introduction of the Affordable Care Act often known as Obamacare there has been a lot of confusion. I can help you siphon through the confusion. You must get or renew your plan during the annual open enrollment or special election period. Plans are guaranteed issue, and no preexisting limitations apply.  They are the safest plans available if you're not offered a group health insurance option.

The plan premiums are priced by income, number of participants, carrier and where you live. You may qualify for a subsidy based off your income. A subsidy can help with your premium, cost sharing (Silver Plans) or both. One common misconception, you can't get an ACA plan if you make too much money. This is not true, you simply will not get a subsidy.

Short term health insurance is a great option for people in very good health not taking any medications. Below is a sample of who it may help:

• You missed the Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment.
• Waiting for benefits to start at a new employer.
• Between jobs and need temporary coverage.
• Near Medicare eligible, healthy and paying hefty premiums.
• On COBRA looking for a lower cost insurance option.
• You simply refuse Obamacare and you're healthy.

Short term health plans DO NOT afford you the same protections that Obamacare plans offer. It’s important to read the limitations & exclusions before making your final decision with this product.  

If you have another policy in place, do not cancel until your new policy is effective and make sure no changes to your health have occurred between application date and effective date.

Every Member Contributes. When you join a Healthsharing plan, you begin contributing funds for use by other Members on a monthly basis.

The Community Shares with You. If something unexpected happens, Community members share funds through our secure platform to pay for expenses. Each of the carriers I represent have different methods of sharing.
